Search News Media is looking to recruit a talented News Editor to join their expanding online content and web publishing team.

An experienced journalist with News Editing experience looking to make the step-up to a more senior role, the successful candidate will work directly with the Publishing Director and possess exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for sub-editing and a good eye for a news story. Experience of managing writers, content schedules and copy deadlines is essential, so too is experience in creating content in a newsroom environment. Knowledge of search engine optimisation techniques, and writing about the personal finance industry are a distinct advantage. An interest in social media and the online industry are a must.

Search News Media journalists produce intelligent, tightly written news to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines on a range of different topics, so an ability to work well under pressure is necessary.

We are looking for a creative individual to help develop the editorial direction of a number of client websites. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, be fully computer literate and possess the ability to multi-task and learn new skills quickly.

The position is full-time (contract/permanent) and will be based at our offices in Windsor, Berkshire, approximately 40 minutes from London. We are an expanding company so the opportunities for advancement are considerable to the right candidate.
