Other essential attributes include a broad knowledge in cell and molecular biology, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to the communication of scientific ideas. An important aspect of the job is interaction with the scientific community and attending international conferences. We have set ourselves challenging targets to expand traffic and further build our registered user base so you will need an unwavering ability to ensure our content connects with GPs and other UK healthcare professionals. You will also have an understanding of how to optimise all content for search engines.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;You will be full of ideas for added-value online content and for innovative ways to tell the big stories that affect GPs’ working lives. Your background in news journalism will have given you proven writing and editing skills and you will be experienced in working under pressure, juggling multiple tasks to tight deadlines. Your strong commercial sense and your understanding of where new media fits into the business-to-business publishing model will help ensure we exploit all potential online revenue sources.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;Experience as an online editor or deputy is desirable though not essential but you will need experience of working with a content management system.
