Frommer’s Unlimited, John Wiley & Sons, is a leading international travel publisher delivering customised content to a range of key players in the travel industry. We are recruiting an in-house full-time project manager from June 2009 to December 2009 (with possibility of extension) to oversee the smooth running and timely delivery of a new, high-quality product.

The project
The objective of this project is to upgrade the online content of a major international hotel brand to:

• Reflect the new brand guidelines
• Target the new customer demographic
• Build consistency and professionalism
• Optimise the content for search engines
• Capture the brand tone of voice and style
• Provide accurate, credible and appealing information on each hotel
• Engage with the reader’s heart and mind
• Deliver credible editorial, not sales text
• Work alongside enhanced hotel imagery

• Present the hotel as the gateway to a travel experience

The enhanced hotel content will arm the online reader with all the information and persuasion they need to book the hotel. Measures of our success will be increased conversion to sale and brand loyalty.

Skills and requirements

• At least five years\’ experience of managing successful online projects where high volume, high quality editorial content has been delivered to specification and deadline
• Brilliant organiser, who can put in place realistic delivery schedules, then make them happen
• Creative thinker, with ability to devise creative solutions and back-up plans as and when issues arise
• Meticulous editor, responsible for ensuring quality control at every stage of the production cycle
• Excellent communicator, who keeps the teams together, co-ordinated and focused
• Tactful but strong communicator, experienced in liaising with demanding clients and keeping associated teams in the loop
• Calm, unflappable personality, responding well to ongoing pressure
• Flexible approach, able to see the bigger picture and zoom into the fine detail
• Technically savvy, and a whizz with Excel
• Experience of multi-lingual projects and international teams a plus
• At least five years\’ experience at a senior editorial level in the travel and hospitality industry
• Broad destination knowledge of EMEA and APAC
• Acute sensitivity to tone of voice and brand

• Unwavering ability to ensure content connects with customers
