The Media Factory a leading publisher in Dubai, is synonymous for visionary creative and editorial excellence within the Middle East and beyond. We are seeking a self motivated Managing Editor to manage it’s portfolio of magazines in Dubai. The successful candidate will also be in charge with growing the portfolio and ensuring its profitability.
The ideal candidate will have proven top-level editorial experience and will have worked on an established top magazine in the UK.
- Above all, must be an excellent writer with an exceptional command of written English
- Must be able and willing to combine writing tasks with departmental management functions
- Must have experience providing editorial direction to, and leadership of, an editorial
department
- Experience planning magazines essential
- Ability to creatively add to the editorial structure and copy a must
- Must have excellent organisational skills
- Be able to coordinate the scheduling, planning and various functions of numerous monthly
titles within short timeframes
- Experience managing numerous writers and editors essential
- Experience launching new titles an advantage
- Online editorial management experience an advantage
- Must be able to work to strict deadlines
- Minimum ten years top magazine or newspaper publishing experience preferred
- Only serious applicants willing to relocate to Dubai need apply
