The Media Factory a leading publisher in Dubai, is synonymous for visionary creative and editorial excellence within the Middle East and beyond. We are seeking a Publisher to manage it’s portfolio of magazines in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will be required to lead and drive the implementation of the day to day publishing management and have a sound understanding of the magazine publishing process.
The ideal candidate must have fantastic organizational and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships and influence and interact at all levels.
To apply, candidates must have the following:
a minimum of five years magazine experience with a leading publishing house, ideally with a lifestyle focus;
a sound knowledge of creating, operating and managing budgets for magazine stables and titles;
experience working with all departments within a publishing house to ensure compliance with function and adherence to budgets and formulating business plans;
a comprehensive understanding of how various elements of publishing influence the P&L of the company, including distribution, print runs etc;
a proven profitable magazine publishing background;
experience working with marketing and distribution to ensure the magazines are suitably visible in market;
ability to create, implement brand strategies for each title;
an advertising sales background;
ability to drive business objectives and incremental revenues forward and communicate these within the teams as appropriate;
a truly creative mind to explore new avenues for revenue growth;
strong people management leadership qualities and skills;
a keen sense of confidentiality and company loyalty;
a passion for producing quality publications;
strong negotiation and presentation skills;
some online experience or understanding would be an advantage;
