full time Frontier Magazine is looking for an Assistant Editor - 18 applicants

Frontier magazine, the leading international trade publication for the duty-free industry has a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Assistant Editor.

Responsibilities will extend to Frontier – published eight times a year – as well as Frontier Brands (three times a year) and Frontier Online.

These responsibilities will include:

- Participating in the generation of features
- Writing, proof-reading, layout and editing of features for both print and website
- Managing the Buyers’ Forum, a monthly product review forum which involves coordinating submitted products and a judging panel, as well as sourcing new products and judges
- Sourcing illustrative material and assisting in design/production process
- Keeping the website up-to-date
- Attending conferences and trade exhibitions
- As an Assistant Editor you will have exceptional writing and proofing skills, an eye for detail, excellent command of the English language as well as impeccable presentation and verbal communication skills.

You will have at least 18 months’ experience of similar work on either business-to-business or business-to-consumer publications and your proofing, editing and re-writing skills are beyond reproach. Knowledge of InDesign a definite plus.

Frontier being an international magazine, there is some international travel involved.

We are a ten-minute walk from East Croydon mainline, which is 10 minutes from Clapham Junction, 15 minutes from Victoria and 15 minutes from London Bridge. We are also served by the Thameslink service, just 15 minutes to East Croydon from Blackfriars, and the Croydon Tramlink, 30 minutes from Wimbledon.
