Do you know your prebiotics from your probiotics? Could you write and broadcast convincingly about emulsifiers and stabilisers? If the answer is yes, we would like to hear from you.

WRBM SAS, the subsidiary of William Reed Business Media (WRBM), is looking for a charismatic science editor to contribute to our flagship European websites FoodNavigator.com and NutraIngredients.com.

This role is based in our office in Montpellier, Southern France but will involve travel throughout Europe and sometimes beyond.


Together, these cutting-edge, independent, free-access websites enjoy an independently audited combined circulation of nearly 257,000 unique monthly visitors. Both have associated face-to-face conferences and virtual conferences and expos that put them at the forefront of their respective industries.

Educated to BSc or higher, the successful candidate will combine a deep curiosity about food science and nutrition with a burning passion to be the first with the latest news on these fast-moving subjects.

Energetic, charismatic and assertive, you will be equally at home breaking news in text articles, videos, podcast reports or social media in areas as diverse as the latest scientific developments in nutrition as well as covering food ingredients, formulations, functional foods and dietary supplements. In addition to science journalism, some coverage may also involve consumer trends, mergers and acquisitions, and financial results.

Existing industry knowledge, although welcome, is less important than an ability to absorb information quickly and a commitment to deliver top-quality, multi-format content serving the information needs of key decision-makers in our respective markets.

A skilled strategic thinker, the successful candidate will have the passion to mobilize great content ideas for our discerning readership and to contribute to the commercial success of the brands within a framework of editorial integrity.
